It is an early-ripening, stable-growing, new pea variety. It has non-spinning sleeves and excellent stem strength.

It is disease-resistant and easy to harvest. Its grain is an early and valuable source of protein, which can be harvested at a rapid pace and without losses due to the good endurance of the plants. It develops a stem rich in strong branches, an easily and well-functioning root system rich in root tubers.

The variety is characterised by good resistance to the pathogens of pea powdery mildew and pea peronospores.

ASTRONAUTE is indeed a highly productive variety, as it starts to bloom relatively early and lasts for a long time, thus laying the foundations for a large number of vaginal attachments. It has non-rolling pods, which are coloured light brown at the start of harvesting.
