The axe tag is a fodder plant that can be successfully grown on dry, extensive soils. It gives tasty, high-quality feed, it can be grown economically for 3-6 years. It has a high protein content and is well grazed because it does not puff green. Depending on the conditions of the area, it gives 1-2 mowings per year. As a butterfly plant, it binds Nitrogen, thus enriching the nutrient content of the soil, it is a very good precursor. It is nutritious, highly adaptable and can be used as a pioneering culture. Good honey plant, under appropriate conditions, produces 0.3-0.6 g of nectar per flower, 40-60% with sugar content, so the potential yield of honey reaches 100-200 kg/ha.
Seedled together with grasses / knotted eagle, reed-faced fescue, Hungarian rye / a viable solution for growing fodder in dry, weak areas.
