LEO
Long-perennial leguminous fodder plant that can be used for 4-6 years. It is not demanding on soils, it prefers fresh places of production, but it also tolerates drier conditions.

It is an important component of mower and pasture mixtures, the production of green and hay with a high protein content is mostly fed to ruminants. It is to be sown in a mixture on more acidic but fresh soils, with higher proportions of non-dominant grasses (meadow komócsin, meadow fescue). The deer-tree is a long-lived, low-demand, fresh-growing place-loving, very good drought- and winter-tolerant fodder plant. It is mostly used in mixtures. It is an excellent melliferous and nitrogen-collecting leguminous plant, enriches the soil with nutrients, so it is a good precursor. The weight of a thousand seeds is 1-1.3 g.
