It is a very strong stalk root developer - tried and proven even in domestic conditions. The depth of the root can reach up to 50 cm, surely breaking through the more compact layers, e.g. eketalpat. Significant structural repair is not carried out exclusively directly by the root system, since the large winter precipitation remaining after the freezing plants, leaking into deep holes, freezes, performs further effective tensioning-soil-relief work.

Improvements in soil air and water balance can allow for faster spring soil temperature rises, thus allowing earlier sowing and hatching.

In autumn, it absorbs a significant amount of nitrogen as the green mass increases, protecting it from winter leaching, which becomes available to the post-plant.

Thanks to the dynamic initial development of melioration radish and its large green mass, it is an optimal greening plant, as it is a good weed suppressing and mulching plant in addition to the extraordinary root development. It leaves a significant amount of organic mass, protects against erosion and binds a significant amount of nitrogen, preventing it from leaching in winter, preserving it in the appropriate soil layer for the post-harvest.
